Popover for Some Fun

In case you don't know me personally, or live under a rock, I have a slight obsession with Lilly Pulitzer. Now some people love their coffee, other people love their cat or dog, well I love Lilly! It has a lot to do with the fact that I love the vibrant and fun prints and it's just an outward expression of my personality.

One of my favorite styles from Lilly, especially as I trudge through my last few months of grad school, is their popover! Instead of grabbing a dull and ill-fitting sweatshirt, I choose a popover instead! I get the same comfort and coziness as a sweatshirt, but with the bright and fun that Lilly brings. I like to think it makes me brighter in the classroom ;) It also goes with the saying, "if you love an item, buy one in every color". Well in my case, I buy one in every print (that's an exaggeration because they make many many more prints that I do not own). But regardless, I recommend that everyone should own a popover, even if they are not on the same Lilly level as I am.

On a different topic, I'm thinking about getting a tattoo. Granted I've "thought about" getting a tattoo many times before, and here I am without ever actually going through with it. I struggle with the whole idea of permanently inking myself for life, my fear of needles, and my desire to actually get one. But below is the quote I had in mind, and I love the umbrella but in reality I'm not sure i'd want the umbrella included. If you don't know what it means or where it's from, befriend google(:

September Bucket List

Now usually people talk about having Summer bucket lists or Fall bucket lists, but this is my September bucket list. This is different because its technically still Summer until September 23rd, however September is a month of transition into fall activities with the continued warmth of summer. I'm not quite ready for the cool of fall to begin, however I am looking forward to the fun happenings the fall has to offer. Photo c/o Evelyn Henson This Evelyn Henson print matched my thoughts exactly. Instead of croissants, I plan to find the best bagel place in my small college town. My idea of a journal is continuing with my blogging that I love so much. Shopping for fall accessories is easily one of my favorite tasks. I don't generally love fall colors, but I do like to incorporate a few of my summer colors with almond tone clothing during the month of September. Trying a new cocktail is always great fun that it should truly be on every monthly bucket list. Stocking up on

Life is Short. Smile While You Still Have Teeth

Whether you are having a bad and want to have a good day or are having a good day and want to have a great day, having simple ways to boost your mood will ensure that you get back on track in no time!   Spend Time With Friends For me one of the best parts about having roommates is that my best friends are always right down the hall. They're my best friends for a reason, so they will always known how to pick me up when I'm down Watch A Favorite Movie I love watching movies when I know there is an amazing feel good ending, and even more when they're funny movies. Some of my favorite feel good movies are The Blonde Side, She's the Man, Grease, and Breakfast at Tiffany's Take A Nap No matter how old you are, taking a nap in the middle of the day is always welcome, that is if your schedule allows it of course. It allows for a quick reset in the middle of the day so you can wake up like it's a new day. Workout Working up a sweat with my head

Easy Ways To Go Green

I have this theory that we should all be kind to the environment, because if we don't who will? There is no need to add more unnecessary items to landfills than we have to. Also for the sake of the animals that live in rivers and near landfills, we have to look out for them. Here are a few simple ways you can be more green in your day to day life. ~Use Reusable Bags~ Using a reusable bag when going to the grocery store should be common practice by now. All of those plastic bags ending up in the landfill is truly unfortunate. I like the Lilly Pulitzer reusable market totes because they hold a good amount of items, but can be put on your shoulder so that it does not feel as heavy. ~Recycle Paper~ You would think that everyone recycles paper by now, but surprisingly that is not the case. It is very simple to get a cute little paper tray to put in a desk drawer to put unwanted paper in. Whether it be an envelope or unneeded copy paper, its so easy to just throw it into the
